We all belong to tribes. Our sense of tribal identity helps us to understand better who we are and who others are. Tribal identities at their best help us to work with others in ways that are mutually beneficial.

But tribal identities can give way to tribalistic mentalities. This shift takes us from a healthy sense of identity to an unhealthy state of exclusivism.

To what work does Jesus call us in the midst of this dynamic? Well, that's what this sermon is all about.
